You must first figure out what to sell utilizing a product search before you can start making a lot of money selling your things on Amazon.

After all, you don’t want to start selling just anything. You’ll want to pick and choose the products you’ll sell on Amazon with care to ensure that they’ll be hot sellers. You won’t make the profits you deserve if they’re not hot sellers, and that’s the bottom line!

When stocking inventory, if you’re selling from your own Amazon store and managing all of the obligations yourself, you need to find the correct products.

The same is true when creating an Amazon FBA private label brand, as the products you choose are an important component of your business.

Affiliate marketers on Amazon must also be aware of the best keywords to use and the most popular products.

Here Are Some Of The Best Jungle Scout Alternatives:

Here is the comparison of Jungle Scout with the best Jungle Scout alternatives:

1. Jungle Scout Vs Helium 10

helium10 vs junglescout

Overview:

There are many Amazon Product Research tools that are being used these days by Amazon sellers. Some of them are free while some have paid versions for getting more information about the product. Jungle Scout is one of the most popular Amazon product research tools, which is very much in demand among Amazon sellers nowadays.

On the other hand, Helium 10 is a new tool that has come into the market with so many unique features. So let’s compare Jungle Scout vs Helium 10 and find out more about both of them here.

First, let us understand what exactly these tools are made for. Both Jungle Scout and Helium 10 are Amazon Product Research tools that are used by sellers to find out the products that have a good demand in the market.

Jungle Scout mainly focuses on the top-level keywords which will give you an idea of what product to sell on Amazon. On the other hand, Helium 10 provides information about lower-level keywords as well as competition from other sellers.

Chrome Extension

Now let us see the comparison between Jungle Scout and Helium 10 both have a Chrome Extension as well as a Web App. The extensions should be installed on the Google Chrome browser just like another normal Chrome extension. The Web app version of these tools can be accessed through any web browser.

Which One is a Better Product Research Tool?

Helium 10 has a different approach to Jungle Scout, which is why it could become a threat for Jungle Scout in the future. Helium 10 is not only focused on finding out the product ideas but also, it will give you information about how to sell these products and ideas about promotions and deals which can be done by Amazon sellers.

It has an image recognition feature using artificial intelligence where it shows you similar images of your chosen product on Amazon. Helium 10 has an auto-scraper that will scrape product information for you, it also has a Chrome extension to show related keywords for your products.

Helium 10 is still new in the market and many experienced sellers are not familiar with this tool yet. On the other hand, Jungle Scout is very popular among Amazon sellers and many of them use this tool regularly. Jungle Scout’s Chrome Extension has very good features like a product tracker, monthly estimated sales, and a daily price change graph that shows you the product prices on a given date.

There is no doubt that Helium 10 has loaded with some unique features for Amazon sellers, but we don’t have any reviews yet by top-level sellers. On the other hand, Jungle Scout has already proved all of its features by showing results to thousands of Amazon sellers who are using this tool for years now.

Verdict:

Overall, it can be said that both Jungle Scout and Helium 10 will provide you with valuable information about products on Amazon, but in different ways.

For newbies, Helium 10 can be a good choice as it not only shows the product but also gives you information about how to sell and promote your products.

2. Jungle Scout Vs Amzscout

Viral Launch Alternatives - amzscout

The biggest question faced by Amazon sellers is how to find the hot-selling products on Amazon. Both Jungle Scout and AmzScout are highly popular tools for finding the best-selling products on Amazon.

Though both these software tools promise 100% accurate results, they actually provide different sets of data. This blog will help you understand the differences between the two tools.

Jungle Scout is a software suite that has been designed to help Amazon sellers in finding the most profitable product on Amazon. It provides accurate data of all the products, including the Top 20 best-selling products in a certain category and niche.

The software also provides all the data related to a specific product, including estimated Sales & Revenue, future demand predictions, and other data. This software also allows you to track the historical sales data of any product on Amazon.

AmzScout is another software suite for product research on Amazon. It provides accurate sales rank data of all the products across various categories. The best thing about this software is that it can be used on both Amazon USA and Amazon UK websites.

Which One is Better?

Both this software have their own list of pros and cons. It actually depends on the type of product research you are looking for.

If you are looking to find products that are already selling well on Amazon, then AmzScout is the best option for you. It provides extremely accurate sales rank data of all the products across various categories on Amazon.

In contrast, Jungle Scout identifies more product niches and sub-niches that can be used to find profitable product opportunities. Therefore it focuses more on identifying new untapped markets and niches by analyzing them in-depth.

Which Software is Best for Beginners?

Both these software programs are aimed at helping Amazon sellers, but they have different focuses.

As mentioned earlier, Jungle Scout allows you to find hidden product opportunities on existing marketplaces like Amazon USA & UK. While AmzScout provides extremely accurate sales rank data of all the products on Amazon.

Which One is Cheaper?

Jungle Scout and AmzScout both have monthly and annual plans. A monthly plan of Jungle Scout will cost you $49/month, while the annual plan will set you back by $349 (which comes out to be around $29 per month).

On the other hand, a monthly plan of AmzScout will cost you $45.99/month while the annual plan will set you back by $197.99 (which comes out to be around $16.49 per month). There is no doubt that Jungle Scout charges more for its services.

Verdict:

If you are a newbie and looking to find products that are already selling well on Amazon, then AmzScout is the best option for you. While Jungle Scout focuses more on identifying new untapped markets and niches by analyzing them in-depth.

3. Jungle Scout Vs Viral launch

In the past, I have always said Jungle Scout was my number 1 Amazon product research tool.

It’s a great program and has helped me find many amazing products to sell on Amazon. However, recently someone mentioned Viral launch to me as a comparable alternative. So I decided to take a look at it and try it out.

I must say, I was pretty impressed with it. Here’s what I found:

For this review, we’re going to compare these two programs based on the following criteria:

Price Reputation,  Ease of use, Features, Help & Support and Overall value

Price Comparison

In my opinion, the most important thing when buying any product is the price. It’s no use having a program that has a million features if you can’t afford it. I think both of these programs are very reasonably priced and provide excellent value for money.

However, for the sake of this review, we’re going to base which program is better off which is cheaper.

** UPDATE: I have since been notified that Jungle Scout’s pricing has changed and they now only offer the Chrome Extension for $49, so I’ve downgraded it from a Platinum tool to a Gold one. **

  • Viral Launch Price: $69/m or$690/y
  • Jungle Scout Price: $29/m or $349/y

From the above, Jungle Scout is a little more expensive. However, on their website, they have a very generous offer for new customers where you can get Jungle Scout Professional for free after a 60-day money-back guarantee.

This will be discussed in detail in the last section. If this promotion still runs when you are reading this article, I would recommend Jungle Scout over Viral launch for this criteria.

Reputation

Both of these programs have great reputations and both will provide you with excellent support if needed. I think, in this case, reputation is most likely down to personal preference.

Ease of use & Features

Now we’re getting to the nitty-gritty. Both of these programs have plenty of features, but they are very different in how you access them.

The viral launch has two parts to their program which you can use simultaneously or separate if needed. The first part is what they call “The Dashboard”.

This is where you get all your information about products; sales, reviews, estimated revenue, etc. It’s very similar to Jungle Scout in the way it is laid out and how it functions. The second part of their program is called “The Spyglass”.

This is where you get more detailed information about specific products on Amazon. To access this section you need to be looking at a product within Viral launch’s dashboard.

When you open the “The Spyglass” section, you’ll see a list of all the different sellers for that product and how many sales they have made in the last 30 days.

This is where it gets very interesting. Viral Launch will provide you with a lot of extra information about these sellers including their email address, Facebook group membership, and even how much money they have spent on Facebook Ads.

I honestly believe this information is invaluable if you’re looking for a highly profitable product to sell on Amazon, which is why Viral launch receives the number 1 spot from me in terms of features.

Jungle Scout also has two parts to their program as well. The first part is the Chrome extension. The amazing thing about the Chrome extension is that you don’t need to be on Amazon’s website to use it.

You can be browsing any product website and as long as there is a “Sold by” or “Ships from” option on the page, you will be able to see estimated sales volume and estimated revenue for specific product verticals. This comes from information that Jungle Scout has compiled from scanning millions of products on Amazon.

The second part of the program is called “The Product Database”. As you can probably guess, this is a list of all products Jungle scout has found on Amazon which echos Viral Launch’s “Product Tracker” feature. However, I think Jungle Scout’s product database is better than Viral Launch’s. Here are the reasons why;

1) You can sort by category or sub-category. This makes it very easy to identify profitable niche-specific products within seconds. 2) There is an option to filter by Amazon BSR which makes finding Amazon Best Sellers a doddle.

3) You have full control over what products are visible on the list and how many you see per page. This means that searching for specific criteria is a lot easier than it is with Viral Launch because you can search within seconds, rather than having to do multiple searches which can take up a lot of time if you’re looking for a single product.

I believe the above extra features give Jungle Scout an edge over Viral Launch, which is why it receives the number 2 spot from me in terms of features.

Support & Training

Both companies provide a free training session with a member of their team to introduce you to how each program works and they’re both very informative. I think it comes down to your personal preference again, as both companies are very helpful if you need anything.

Verdict

As I’ve already mentioned, this is down to personal preference and both programs are excellent! However, there was one clear winner; Jungle Scout! This is because of the extra features which make finding highly profitable products, a breeze.

4. Jungle Scout Vs AmazeOwl

AmazeOwl - Amazon Product Research Tools for Sellers

As you know both Jungle Scout and AmazeOwl are Chrome extensions that help Amazon FBA sellers find winning products to sell.

If you’re doing any kind of serious selling on Amazon, I would recommend both of these tools. The major difference between the two is that Jungle Scout has a bigger team behind it who has created an amazing suite of tools.

Jungle Scout is bigger and better than AmazeOwl, but at the same time, AmazeOwl has a pretty decent toolset that would suit most people’s needs.

I’ve been using Jungle Scout for over 3 years now and I really like the suite of tools they have to offer. So naturally, I was excited when they started launching extensions like AmazeOwl.

I get asked all the time which Amazon product research tool is better, Jungle Scout or AmazeOwl?

It’s difficult to answer this question because it really depends on what kind of Amazon seller you are and how much money you want (or can) spend on tools.

If you’re an Amazon seller who’s selling under $100k per year, you don’t need all the features offered by Jungle Scout.

Jungle Scout is great because it offers a suite of tools that are all interconnected and they have created a community around their product. This means that when other people use their tools, they are sharing the same data.

So unless you are an experienced product research expert, I wouldn’t recommend Jungle Scout to Amazon sellers who are just starting out.

If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative that’s less powerful than Jungle Scout, then AmazeOwl is perfect for you. Even though both tools provide almost the same data they support different types of users based on the price.

AmazeOwl is cheaper than Jungle Scout, but it can’t be used by as many people because it doesn’t have the same community behind it.

The data on Jungle Scout will always be more accurate and updated compared to AmazeOwl because they have a bigger team of product experts who are constantly updating their database with new sales data.

If you’re an experienced product research expert or a user who’s just looking for some good data to get started with, then both tools work well and it really depends on your budget.

If you’re running a small brand and want to find the best products to sell in the market, then AmazeOwl would be the best tool for you.

I highly recommend AmazeOwl if you’re just starting out and you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to Jungle Scout.

Amazon Product Research Tools: The Perfect Combination?

Yes, there is such a thing as the perfect Amazon product research toolset. It’s not about finding the cheapest Amazon product research tool or the most expensive Amazon product research tool.

What you really need is a combination of Amazon product research tools that will help you find hot selling products on Amazon as quickly as possible. The good news is that Jungle Scout and AmazeOwl are both great Amazon product research tools, so why not implement them both?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: they’re not competitors, they’re complementary tools.

They both have their own unique features and qualities that make them stand out from each other. But you won’t be able to get the full picture of what’s happening on Amazon unless you use both of them together.

AmazeOwl is great for beginners, but it doesn’t have all the features that Jungle Scout has. For example, AmazeOwl does not tell you monthly sales, BSR history, and category information which are important to know when doing product research.

On the other hand, Jungle Scout is great for experienced Amazon sellers who are looking to scale their business, but it’s also expensive.

Jungle Scout is not a good tool for beginners because the monthly fees will quickly add up and you’ll end up paying much more than AmazeOwl in a matter of months.

And this means that if you’re an experienced Amazon seller with a small budget, then I would recommend using both tools instead of just Jungle Scout.

Verdict:

Even though the Amazon seller tools market is really crowded, I believe that it’s a good thing because it means that there are many different companies trying to help Amazon merchants sell more products on Amazon.

As a result, you can choose from a wide range of options and find the best tool for your needs which will save you money in the long run.

Jungle Scout and AmazeOwl are currently the best tools on the market because they have more product research data than most of their competitors.

But they’re not perfect tools, so I still think there is room for improvement especially with regards to user interface and usability. However, they’re still useful tools and I highly recommend them if you’re selling on Amazon.

5. Jungle Scout Vs Unicorn Smasher

amz unicorn smasher

Unicorn Smasher is a tool that was developed by Travis Jamison, who happens to be Jungle Scout’s biggest competitor.

In case you’re not already familiar with the name – I’m talking about another Amazon PPC/ASO tool that has been gaining some traction lately. So how should you choose between Jungle Scout and Unicorn Smasher? That’s what I’m going to answer below.

Unicorn Smasher is a data tool that mainly uses two sources of data: Amazon and SimilarWeb. The latter gives you third-party information on websites – similarweb.com – while the former gives you estimated sales numbers, estimated fees, and reviews for a specific ASIN. With this data, Unicorn Smasher offers the following features:

Unicorn Smasher’s main selling points are its API connection to Amazon, its product tracker, and the number of metrics it uses during analysis.

Despite being a relatively new tool, Unicorn Smasher has already built up some credibility online, mainly by having their own case study about how they managed to find a product with Unicorn Smasher that was able to do $17,000 in sales over the next 30 days.

Jungle Scout Vs Unicorn Smasher – The Biggest Differences

While both tools are great, there are some differences between them. One of the main differences is the price – while Jungle Scout’s cheapest package comes at $29/month, Unicorn Smasher’s monthly subscription is free. Other differences are the following:

Jungle Scout offers lifetime access to its software for a once-off payment of $349. This means you’d pay less if you go with Jungle Scout over time – it’ll wind up being cheaper than paying on a monthly basis for a tool that I use only once every month.

Unicorn Smasher is limited to finding one product per day, as opposed to Jungle Scout which allows you to search for unlimited products at the same time. While this doesn’t mean anything big in practice (one product is more than enough), it’s still something worth mentioning.

Unicorn Smasher’s product tracker is a nice feature, although it’s still being developed at the moment.

My main issue with it is that you can’t delete products from within the dashboard – if you’ve done any analysis and want to go back and start over, you’ll have an extra step of deleting the product yourself from within the Amazon search page (prior to importing it into the product tracker).

Unicorn Smasher’s broad range of metrics can give you an idea about how much money you could potentially make from a product, but there are still some things that don’t work properly just yet.

For example, Unicorn Smasher is currently unable to show reviews during the estimation process – it’s something they’re still working on.

Jungle Scout is designed to cater to people who want to sell their products on Amazon, whereas Unicorn Smasher caters to people who want to use Amazon PPC and SEO while selling their products on other platforms such as Shopify or WooCommerce – you can check this case study which outlines how a store owner was able to create an online store and sell products on it using the Unicorn Smasher software.

Unicorn Smasher’s free package is limited to three product searches per day, as opposed to up to one hundred searches with Jungle Scout (Jungle Scout also has a Lite plan for those who just want to use it for one product search, but don’t need all the features).

Honestly speaking though, if you’re an experienced Amazon seller who knows what they’re doing then Unicorns Smasher isn’t really that necessary. At the end of the day, Jungle Scout offers everything you could ever need when you’re looking for products to sell on Amazon.

The only case in which you should consider Unicorn Smasher is when you’re looking into getting started with selling online, and don’t have a lot of experience in the field.

I know several people who got their start in eCommerce using this tool – but that’s because they were able to get support whenever they needed it.

This is something you won’t get with Jungle Scout, although they do have an FAQ page that might be able to help when the need arises. I still think it’s worth mentioning though – if you’re new to eCommerce and want to sell on Amazon, then Unicorn Smasher could definitely be the best tool for that job.

Verdict:

In conclusion, both tools are great and they can definitely help you find products that you could potentially sell as an Amazon FBA business. However, Jungle Scout does offer some benefits over Unicorn Smasher in terms of accuracy and customer service.
